Helping the Finance Director
In many smaller quoted companies, the Finance Director is also the Company Secretary. The increasing amount and complexity of regulation means that a company puts itself at risk if it burdens its Finance Director with a task for which they may not be qualified, and which may be a distraction from other pressing issues.
We believe that the Finance Director should not be diverted from their principal role and their time is better applied to the execution of the company’s strategy and value creation.
There is a cost to using our services, but clients find that this is offset by freeing up the time of their Finance Director and a reduction in the use of expensive lawyers and accountants for what to us are routine matters.
As well as a value creation role, Finance Directors have a value protection role and we work closely with Finance Directors to ensure smooth functioning of corporate governance processes aimed at value protection.
